Tunes to sweat by...

So I got to the gym roughly the same time this morning after stopping by Giant to pick up some travel toiletries. You never realize how much you value a shower in your own home until you have to do it consistently somewhere else. I said “screw it,” and did the elliptical on a slower setting despite not having my ankle brace and it worked out pretty well. 430 calories killed there and along with the lower body workout on weights, I felt pretty okay with eating a salad with a grilled turkey burger, mushrooms, onions, and fat free 25 calorie Italian dressing.

I didn’t have time to convert season 5 of Scrubs onto my Ipod so I went to my other go-to Podrunner. It’s a pretty popular podcast on Itunes that sets each 60 minute track to a specific BPM (beats per minute) so you can work consistently with the music. For some reason however I wasn’t feeling the tracks at all. No vocals and I was in a vocals kinda mood. I switch to another podcast that isn’t meant for working out but still kicks the shit outta the llamas ass . Matt Darey had a special place in my heart during my stoner college days so when I found his “Nocturnal Podcast” on I-tunes, I jumped all over it. Check it out. He really is one of the best trance/house DJ’s out there.

Tonight I hope to go on a walk with Megan and finish it off with the hardboiled eggs that I didn’t have the time or patience to peel this morning. I still have to tell you guys about the Teet but maybe I’ll wait until this weekend and I’ll take some pictures. Its that cool.

  1. The only time I wish I had an ipod is when I work out. I would never use it any other time at all period.

I would watch Psych. It would, of course, have to be an ipod video.

  2. Really? You wouldn't use it in your car? No offense but other than a few radio talk shows, the radio f'n sucks.

  3. Hi Mac! You're crazy! Your blog is quite entertaining! I look forward to reading about your progress! I'm quite impresed. You make me want to commit more to working out...and that says A LOT. :)

  4. You're way too nice Lizzy but thanks for stopping by. Now I'll have pressure to actually make coherent sentences.

  7. 35 dollars? Does it run on rubber bands and toothpicks?

  8. Nah they get you on the fuel price for that version it runs on baby seals and fabergé eggs. Which coincidentally Magnavox has a monopoly on.
